A little story about how POITOU SOLUTIONS was created...

My name is Magali Gérante. I am French and am a graduate in marketing & languages. In 1997, I followed my British partner to the North East of England, where I held management positions in the building industry and interior design. Ten years later, we decided to make a fresh start and move to Poitou Charentes where we bought a traditional farmhouse in need of some renovation.

After spending so long in the UK I felt like an expat myself! Moving back to my homeland was, by no means, an easy thing to do! So many organisations to contact, so much paperwork to fill in, so many things which go wrong! I found the whole experience rather stressful for me and it made me realise how daunting it must be for English-speakers trying to do the same!

Shortly after the purchase of the property, I started to work for a local building company, which enabled me to make useful contacts in the industry. Having developed over 12 years an experience in Sales & Marketing, Customer Service & Project Management, I felt I had the competences & maturity to set up POITOU SOLUTIONS and offer my help to others.
